Harada Description
Harada Junmai 80 is a popular and complex sake produced by the Hatsumomidi Brewery in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan. The "80" indicates that the locally grown Yamadanishiki rice used has a high rice polishing ratio of 80%, which is unusual for a premium sake and contributes to its unique, rich profile and strong umami.
Very smooth and round, with notes of ripe tropical fruits (papaya, blood orange, pear, apple), vanilla, pandan, and white peach. It offers a broad umami, which one reviewer described as a "fat pillow of mochi stuffed with chestnut".
