About Martín Codax Albariño
Martín Códax Albariño is a white wine from the DO. Rías Baixas, crafted by Bodegas Martín Códax. This wine is a single varietal made from the Albariño grape.
The harvest is conducted using traditional methods, and the production follows a meticulous and careful process to ensure the purity of wines originating from Salnés.
Noteworthy in the vinification period is the fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks undertaken by Martín Códax Albariño.
Martín Códax Albariño is bottled and marketed without undergoing any aging process.
The name of this wine, introduced in 1986, is derived from a renowned Galician troubadour, whose "cantigas" are still preserved today. These are the oldest in the Galician-Portuguese language, and their parchment is displayed at the Morgan Library in New York. The notes of one of his cantigas are used to adorn the corks.
